In fact we finished all of the work in a couple of days, but the boss was having himself a wonderful time. He hooked up with a couple of his old Army pals here and they will not let me go home either. I am doing the dirty work for him, while he gambles and plays around with girls that are not even half of his age. I have learned about the escorts in salt lake city. I would not have ever known about that, but I had to arrange for it. This girl I found is absolutely sweeter than honey in almost any way. In a million years I would not guess what she does for a living. I am not sure how we are going to explain it to the accountants either, or how they can make it look like a legitimate expense for the IRS. I would guess she is 25 or so. She is really smart, I think we could call her a consultant and not be too far off.
The truth is she might have been worth it. We just sort of lucked into a chance to make a big sale and she kept this guy mesmerized while I got the deal drawn up. She seemed to have learned enough about our business by osmosis to talk about us and what we could do for this guy. Some of it she seemed to have improvised. Obviously we could not have paid her what she asked, but I would hire her for a sales rep in a blink. Of course I do not think as a man with red blood, I would be able to find the word no in her presence. She just has the way of making a man fumble about like a 14 year old boy on his first date.
Of course it has been quite awhile since I inherited the house where my mother was raised and it was a big chore to get it ready. Then we finally sold the place and turned a good bit of profit from it. Actually the work was not so bad since we knew most of the things that needed to be done. I had to find a good price on HVAC installation in Queens, but aside from that there was not much of it that I did not either know how to do or know someone who could tell me what I needed to do. My father in law was pretty much happy to drink beer and tell me what I needed to do. He has been doing all sorts of this sort of work since he was six years old, or at least that is what he claims. Really he learned the trades from his father and his uncles, almost from the day that he was out of high school.
At any rate we found a nice piece of land, we thought that it might be in Pennsylvania at first. We do not need to be in the city any more and I like having some room. I might even try to find a tractor. In all I got a little bit over six acres of land. There was a farmhouse on it, but there was not any practical hope of saving it. I would guess it had been vacant for a couple decades from the look of the place. I thought it would cost a lot of money to get it torn down, but I found a guy who wanted the timbers. It was put together really well and was a difficult job to get it taken apart. We build a nice house by a half acre pond.
I am the manager of a fairly large warehouse in New York. When we were a final contender for a large contract, I knew that I could do something that would up our chances of getting the dream contract. All warehouses I have worked in before have one thing in common. They are the perfect place for birds to call home too. This usually is not a problem because it is just a common occurrence. However, I knew that if I contacted a company that provides bird removal services, it might just be the tipping point in our favor.
There are so many places in a warehouse where birds can make themselves at home. They do not have the traditional ceilings that most buildings have. There are beams, rafters and a ton of open space, which is ideal for a bird for nesting purposes. I found a company that has experience in helping warehouses overcome the various bird issues, and I was surprised by some of the information that I was able to read on their website. I knew that birds were a nuisance, but I did not realize just how dangerous they can be to a person’s health too.
I read about a bird mist netting, which I had never heard of before. It is brilliant actually, and it did not cause any harm to the birds. It simply caught the birds in the net, then it relocated them far away, back into nature. I knew that it was not something that would keep other birds out, but it was something that we could do on a recurring basis. When I included that into our proposal for the new contract, it helped immensely. They ended up choosing us, and one of the determining factors was how we handled the birds in our warehouse.
